INVITATION FOR NOMINATIONS TO FILL VACANCIES OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR GREENFIELD BAYOU LEVEE AND DITCH CONSERVANCY DISTIRCT Nominations to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors becoming open at the Annual Meeting of the Greenfield Bayou Levee and Ditch Conservancy District to be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Prairie Creek Community Building located at 14064 S. Watson Pl., Prairie Creek, Vigo County, Indiana, are hereby invited. The vacancies are created by the expiration of the term of Dennis Harlan ~ Area 4 and Fred Wilson Jr ~Area 5. Area 4 of said Greenfield Bayou Levee&Ditch Conservancy District consists of the following area in Vigo County, Indiana, to-wit: portions of Sections 7, 18, 19, 30 and 31 all located in Township 10 North, Range 10 West; and the west 1/2 of the west 1/2 of Sections 8, 17, 20, 29 and 32 all located in Township 10 North, Range 10 West. Area 5 of said Bayou Levee&Ditch Conservancy District consists of the following area in Vigo County, Indiana, to-wit: portions of Sections 8, 17 and 20 located in Township 10 North, Range 10 West, lying west of Battle Row Place and portions of Sections 29 and 32 of Township 10 North, Range 11 West, lying West of Battle Row Place. Also those portions of Sections 29 and 32 Township 10 North, Range 10 West lying west of the following description: beginning at a point in the center line of Battle Row Place and the east-west 1/2 section line of Section 29, Township 10 North. Range 10 West, then west 990 ft. to a point thence south 1320 ft. to a point, then west 363.5 ft. M/L to a point, thence south 1320 feet to the section line between Sections 29 and 32, then west on said section line to the northeast corner of the northwest 1/4 of Section 32, thence south 1320 ft. to a point, then west 850 ft. to a point, then south 1320 ft. to a point in the east west 1/2 section line of Section 32, then west 70 ft. to the center of a ravine, then southerly following the center line of said ravine to the south line of Section 32 A Director is required to be a freeholder of the Area of the District for which elected or an officer or nominee of a corporate freeholder of the Area of the District for which elected. As used herein, the term "freeholder" means a person who holds land in fee or for life or for some Indeterminate period of time, whether or not in joint title with one or more persons. A majority of the Board of Directors are required to be resident freeholders of the District, if available and qualified. Nominators for Director for each of above described Areas shall be submitted to the office of the District in writing prior to the first day of December, 2017 signed by at least five (5) freeholders from the above described areas.
