Route 608 bridge replacement (Bland County) Willingness Advertisement
Find out about the proposed replacement of the Route 608 (Skydusky Road) bridge over Big Walker Creek in Bland County, located near the intersection of Route 639. A new bridge will be built downstream from the current bridge. The old bridge will be used during construction and removed following completion of the new structure.
Review the proposed project plans and environmental document in the form of a Programmatic Categorical Exclusion at the VDOT Bristol District Office located at 870 Bonham Road in Bristol, VA,

If your concerns cannot be satisfied, VDOT is willing to hold a public hearing. You may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to Mr. Ron Flanary, VDOT Project Manager, 870 Bonham Road, Bristol, Virginia, 24201, prior to September 29, 2017. If a request for a public hearing is received, notice of date, time and place of the hearing will be posted.
In compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 and 36 CFR Part 800, information concerning the potential effects of the proposed project on properties listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places is provided in the environmental documentation.
