THE CITY OF ASHLAND IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:
Engineering & Utilities (E&U) Department / Water Distribution/Meter Services Division: WATER DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR I, II, III, or IV
Skilled, semi-skilled, and manual labor in the construction, maintenance and cleanliness of water distribution system.
Engineering & Utilities (E&U) Department Wastewater Collection Division: WASTEWATER COLLECTION OPERATOR I, II, III or IV
Skilled, semi-skilled, and manual labor in construction/maintenance of wastewater (sewer) lines, new service installations and lift stations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH POSITIONS: High school diploma/GED supplemented by one (1) year related work experience for Class I; higher Classes must be supplemented by work experience and/or education acceptable by the Kentucky Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet to have obtained a Water Distribution License OR Wastewater Collection License in the matching Class for which applying. Class I must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and must obtain a valid commercial drivers license (CDL) prior to completion of original probation and maintain thereafter. Classes II, III, and IV must possess and maintain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Minimum beginning salary = $11.042 per hour for an Operator I, and increased with higher classifications.
