COMMUNITY NEWS DIGITAL DIGITAL SALES MANAGERS TULSA AND OKLAHOMA CITY REGIONS We are looking for 2 Digital Sales Manager to oversee digital sales for our newspapers in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City Regions. With 15 newspapers in our footprint we are looking for the right people who can help us grow digitally. The selected DSM’s will be progressive, creative thinkers who can conceptualize, execute, and close digital revenue producing ideas that connect our advertiser’s goals to our exciting, cutting edge suite of digital products and services. This position works with the newspaper’s sales management teams in their assigned market championing digital sales. This position will report Directly to a Publisher. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Actively engage in the analysis of potential customers digital presence, and pursuit and closure of sales and new business to achieve and exceed goal in assigned division. Focus on driving revenue among the full digital portfolio across media and incentives. • Play a lead role in training, leading, managing, and collaborating with Sales Team in an effort to grow existing list of digital advertisers. • Proficient in industry trends, priorities, and objectives within the digital arena including Mobile, Social, Video, SEO, SEM, and Targeted Digital Tactics. • Creatively develop and negotiate effective sales proposals that produce ROI for customer and drive bottom line revenue. • Assertively maintain a pipeline of opportunities statistically necessary to achieve goal attainment. • Develop strategy to maximize business opportunities and penetration accounts with specific focus on securing high level interaction and top to top meetings. Comply with legal guidelines, update applicable CRM systems on a weekly basis, meeting all required entry deadlines. MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Actively support the development of assigned team through inclusive management and clear communication, preparing employees for continued growth through Digital Marketing Sales Development program. REQUIREMENTS: • Proven sales experience (minimum of 2-3 years) in sales, preferably digital tactics. • College degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, etc....preferred but not mandatory: • Excellent organization and time-management skills • Ability to personalize the business and develop important relationships with clients as well as internal colleagues. • Experience managing and developing employees is preferred. • Strong work ethic and passion for the industry. • Proven strong negotiation skills.
